Today I....
*worked on research of coveralls and drafted a preliminary letter to Dickies and Carhartt requesting support
*at the main Gcart meeting we discussed topics like the microcontroller, Dorschel, and the work area needs
*I met with Ken McLoud to discuss mechanical goals and develop a system of how work should proceed on our specific projects through the year
*we had a meeting with Terri Stevens from the office of development to identify companies that would be good for potential sponsors, as well as how to pursue those companies
*today I also did a lot of independent research on modification of New SUV's.
* I joined a forum to talk about suv modification and made some initial contacts for technical knowledge and possible financial support for that topics
*we also went and got a permanent meeting room for our daily 12:00 meeting.

Tomorrow I am planning on....
*meeting in the morning to write a universal sponsorship email
*start doing research on LIDAR systems identifying best systems and companies
*draft a letter to FORD about a possible vehicle donation
*contact Hans at the work location to find out about electric service
*start doing initial redesign of hard drive shock mounting devices

Today I....

• Went to gcart meeting and discussed goals for the quarter and organization/meeting times. we ironed out what needed to be done for each subsystem and made specific goals for the quarter
• We went over to Dr. Simone's house (RIT president) and looked at the barn to check to see if the work space was good for our needs. As it turns out the space is awesome and I will enjoy working there. The only thing we need to do is work on the Heating situation.
• Went back to RIT looked at Tay's simulator and it looks like it will be something that might be good for sensor integration development.
• I then went with Chris and drew asking about a work space for meetings, Chris will do the follow-up
• In reaction to the working in the cold I went to some stores looking for insulated cover-alls to identify what to ask for as a donation from dickies or carhart.
• I talked to my dad about the heating situation and he thinks that dividing the barn space will help us and is willing to donate and transport a 20,000 watt electric heater
• Knowing that we have a meeting with Dorschel coming up I looked at their website to see what vehicles they had in stock that would suit our needs. in addition to the new SUV's they have 2 2002 ford explorers in stock and I am checking to see if they fit our needs as it might not be as big of a stretch to get one of those compared to a new car.

• Draft a letter to dickes/carhart about donations
• meet Ken McLoud to go over some mech e stuff
• start doing some re-design of the senior steering package
• talk to baja about their tube bender
• make a complete list of tools needed
• investigate best lift kits for fords/toyotas
• make Gcart business cards

ford freestyle

this morning we got and email that we might be getting a freestyle donated so i went to a dealer and tool measurements and checked it out. it seems like it could work but there are other vehicals i think would be better. i plan on spending a good amount of my break time working on GCART related things, aswell as through the next quarter so look for daily update here.
